Temporary Events
A food service establishment that operates for a period of not more than fourteen (14) consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration is the focus of this pamphlet. In other words church suppers, fairs, farmer’s markets or other similar celebrations would be considered temporary events if they are advertised as open to the general public. Bake sales offering only non-potentially hazardous foods are exempt from inspection, but require notification to the Health Department.
